The political dilemma of Pakistan can be described in terms of domestic political developments such as the struggle for constitutional democracy and the repeated imposition of martial laws. Though, Pakistan was achieved through a political and constitutional struggle, the tussle among powerful army generals, bureaucrats and feudal politicians never allowed the constitution to take roots in the country.
